Giving back to the community through service is a hallmark of Colorado College’s culture. Through CC Cares, the New York City Alumni Chapter can make a difference in our community. Join us for a CC Cares project to help the Prospect Park Alliance Weekend Volunteer Corps as they tackle Prospect Lake cleanup on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014. Local alumni, parents, and friends are all invited to join other volunteers on International Coastal Cleanup Day.
For more than 25 years, International Coastal Cleanup Day
has brought together nearly 9 million volunteers from 152 countries to remove 145 million pounds of trash from the world’s waterways. As Prospect Lake is Brooklyn’s only lake and it is an invaluable resource to the community, we must all work together to preserve it. Held every September, International Coastal Cleanup is a program that engages people to remove debris from beaches and waterways while identifying and documenting the types of debris they find. Join this year's cleanup effort by helping to clean Prospect Park Lake's shores.
